Somewhere In The Antelope Valley

William Wiles awoke to the sound of gunshots Friday morning in Hollywood.

Wiles lives in an apartment overlooking the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street and said he looked outside to see a young gunman in a white shirt firing randomly at cars.

Wiles, a student at the Los Angeles Recording School, said he began recording video on his iPhone. A  brief video, which he provided to The Times,  shows a man in the intersection firing a shot at a pickup truck.
